The device is characterized across an ambient temperature range of -40°C to +125°C, making the PMIC an excellent choice for various automotive applications. The device has four step-down DC/DC (BUCK) converters, of which two can be used in a dual-phase configuration. Furthermore, the device has three low drop-out (LDO) regulators, which can also be used as load-switches.

Evaluation board

TPS65224Q1EVM — TPS652241-Q1 evaluation module

The TPS65224Q1EVM board can be used to test, demonstrate, debug and configure the TPS6522x power management IC for automotive and industrial applications. The device onboard is TPS6522430-Q1 which has a 2+1+1 phase configuration for the buck converters with one 10A output and two 2A outputs.
