Understanding DLP technology
DLP technology: precision control of light
DLP technology uses digital micromirror devices (DMDs) to manipulate light with incredible precision.
Each DMD contains millions of microscopic mirrors that titl to direct light precisely. By rapidly timing these micromirrors, DLP technology can project high-quality images or control light patterns for advanced industrial, automotive and display applications.
Integrated components that drive DLP performance
A DLP chipset is the core of every DLP system, combining three key components:
- The DLP digital micromirror device (DMD), which reflects and modulates light
- The controller, which manages data input and mirror actuation
- The driver, which powers and times the micromirror operatopm
Together, these componenets translate digital input into precise light output, enabling engineers to design scalable, reliable and high-performance optical systems across a range of applications.
Precision, reliability and sclaibility across every market
DLP technology combines speed, precision and durability to enable high-performancr optical systems across markets:
- Display & projection: bright, sharp, color-accurate images that scale from pocket-size to large-venue.
- Automotive: adaptive headlights, head-up displays, and dynamic interior lighting with micron-level precision.
- Industrial: high-speed pattern projection for 3D printing, machine vision, and spectroscopy.
