TIPD154

Low-Power Reference and Bipolar Voltage Conditioning Circuit Reference Design for Low-Power ADCs

TIPD154

Design files

Overview

This TI Precision Verified Design provides the theory, component selection, and simulation for a single-supply, low-power signal conditioning circuit designed to translate a +/-5 V input signal to the proper input range of a single-supply low-power 16-Bit ΔΣ ADC such as the one inside the MSP430 or other similar single-supply ADCs.  A zero-drift op amp was selected to provide excellent dc performance in the attenuation and level-shifting circuit.  Two low-power reference circuits are used to provide power, the ADC reference voltage, and biasing to the input conditioning circuit.

Features

• TI Precision Designs: Verified Design Contains Theory, Component Selection, TINA-TI Simulation
• Conditions a +/-5V signal input signal for a 1.25V ADC
• Total operational current < 100 μA
• Single-Supply Solution
