UV (<420nm) DMDs
Enable precise, high-throughput light control for additive manufacturing and lithography
Why choose TI DLP ultraviolet DMDs?
High speed & throughput
Print or expose up to millions of pixels at once. These products are designed with flexible data loading, high efficiency, and fast update speeds.
Accuracy & precision
Precise pixel control, multi-bit exposure, and focused optics allow for repeatable, highly accurate exposure down to the sub-micron level.
Reliable MEMS technology
Operate reliably at UV (<420nm) wavelengths, with no replacements required.
DLP technology for industrial innovation
Driving innovation in digital manufacturing
Digital imaging with DLP technology provides an alternative to mask-based approaches. Acting as a programmable photomask, the DMD delivers fast, high-resolution, scalable, and precise printing, directing light patterns to expose photosensitive materials. Eliminating masks reduces material costs, shortens mask fabrication time, removes mask inventory management, and accelerates development.
High resolution and speed support rapid pattern changes and immediate corrections. These advantages scale effectively, improving yield and enabling panel-level production. DLP direct imaging supports PCB manufacturing, flat-panel display repair, laser marking, advanced packaging, and other light exposure applications.

High-resolution, high-speed 3D printing powered by DLP technology
TI DLP technology for 3D printing applications projects 2D structured light patterns with a digital micromirror device (DMD) to cure photosensitive resins or fuse powdered materials. By exposing an entire layer in parallel, DLP technology delivers faster print speeds and higher resolution than point-by-point methods such as lasers.
With programmable light control across a broad spectrum, DLP solutions offer flexibility for a variety of additive manufacturing processes. High optical efficiency, precise pixel placement, and repeatable accuracy enable fine feature resolution, smooth surface finishes, and reliable scaling from rapid prototyping to production-level 3D printing.
